I'ts 2015 - WE WOULD LOVE TO HOST ANOTHER REUNION ANY TIME YOU ALL WANT US TO... (so far, we have had a small visiting every year or so, at camp with wonderful weather and fun had by all).   Please keep in touch, Audrey get a lot of spam, so it is best to call her for an email address or visit the facebook page some alumni put up and ask around for info how to contact her, she loves to hear from you...!  Friends, Friends, Friends.

NEWS - we have several nice cottages for rent complete with kitchen areas, bath rooms & access to hiking, tennis, and our attractive & active waterfront.

For those that LOVE HORSES...  due to fencing we don't have the horses on top of the hill in the past few years...  Maybe in the future?

IF YOU LOVE TO RIDE... THERE IS A LOT OF HORSEBACK RIDING that is only a short drive away from camp, as there are a handful of well established riding and boarding stables to select from offering English or Western Riding, and where you will find a wide range of instruction for many different levels of rider.  Some of these locations offer various levels of show and event coaching.  In fact, some of these facilities are managed and operated the entire year around by former Catherine Capers Riding Staff & Alumni)!

For the whole family... Why not vacation at Lake St. Catherine and maybe go Camping out, or elect to stay in a nice cottage, go horseback riding or take a riding lesson somewhere nearby, have a campfire every night (even if raining we can stay dry in the indoor arena)... With access to the lake and local waters you will find that
one can Swim, go Tubing, Water Ski, Sail, Canoe, visit sunken island, and more.  Have you ever gone on a Huck Fin Adventure with family or friends?  For some that visit they have found that the kids get lost and we often can find them in the old arts and crafts room (still has lots of fun stuff to create with, and is an excellent option for the kids and parents on any part of a rainy day).

One can go fishing for warm water trophy fish and trout in the lake, or nearby are the Mettawee and Batten Kill Rivers (both are designated by the state of Vermont as "wild trout river and streams"), the kids can feed the "pet" fish right off the dock.

Lake St. Catherine has a wonderful 18 hole golf course with a fine restaurant at the "public course's club house" as well, or
go out to dinner at one of the many fine area restaurants,...!

Lake St. Catherine is located central to the Rutland VT, Manchester VT, Lake George NY, and Glens Falls, NY areas with easy access to Saratoga NY and the summer play houses, arts and performing arts that are found in both the Manchester VT and Saratoga NY areas.    There are many area attractions to choose from (local auctions, museums, libraries, the old Lincoln family estate in Manchester is open to public viewing and there is a 6 Flags owned Great Escape Theme Park all within about 10 to 30 minutes drive time away).  Nearby is the old D&H Rail Road that has been converted as part of the Rails to Trails pathway system (that in this area weaves it's way through the wild fields and forests passing through local villages along the way) and is ideal for biking, riding, and other activities the year around.  Many local towns and villages host many planned activities through out the year from car shows, arts and crafts fairs, farmers markets,  to local concerts in the park.

For shopping both the Manchester VT and Lake George areas (equal distance drive to both areas) have famous retail outlet centers, and Manchester is home to the Orvis Company Flag Ship Store and their outlet store as well.  The entire area is dotted with antique stores and various artists have their galleries open to the public.

Hey, why not target your vacation to be here for Variety Day in Wells VT at the end of July (for details please call).

Oh - if you want to stay on the hill, the cabins are still there with beds inside.  The campfire circle is waiting for singing voices.

Come visit us, even if it is just for a weekend, or a week, or two.  We would love to see you sometime this summer!

Friends  Friends  Friends,

                                we'll always be...

WE all had a wonderful time over the last 50+ years of Camp Catherine Capers.

We need to do it all again, someday!
Hey - why wait...
WHY NOT VISIT US THIS SUMMER Bring a family member, friend, or plan to meet there with old camp friends where you all can plan to be there at the same time... there is plenty to do to keep you all having fun and busy!

For now, click on the above "NEW Special Announcement GREEN button",  and join us for future Summer Reunions...
Note: that we are renting some buildings and have rebuilt the office into a very nice rental cabin, the infirmary is also fixed over too. There are outdoor grills and fully usable kitchens in each of the two main buildings.

The different buildings on the hill are the same and are just as they were when you were here last, some have returned and stayed in those buildings as they are clean and still have beds in them.

For those that visit, there are a number of riding facilities with riding and instruction or coaching, all located  a short drive and not far down the road from camp...!  And if this summer is like last summer, we will hopefully still have a small herd of horses grazing in the pastures on the hill).

The docks and boats are in the water, tennis court ready, and at the house, the  dinning room has been converted into a pleasant area to lounge, watch TV, read a book, or talk with family or friends.
